TEACHING THE NEXT GENERATION (AND DESPERATELY TRYING TO KEEP UP WITH GEN Z SLANG)
AT MARIST UNIVERSITY, I Teach COM 324, a research and consumer insights course within the School of Communication and the Arts. In addition to creating the syllabus and curriculum, I expose students to industry experts, leAd STUDENT IMMERSION DAYS AT MY AGENCY, AND deLIVER a ‘How to Break In and Stay in’ workshop for the school’s marketing club.
IN MY FIRST YEAR OF TEACHING, student evaluations put me in the top 15% of instructors, with written feedback citing my passion, real-world experience, and engaging presentation style. LAST YEAR, I was awarded a MARIST summer RESEARCH Fellowship in Florence Italy in partnership with the Istituto Lorenzo de Medici
Professor Feron not once, had a boring class. She is very well spoken, and always engaging. She kept her lectures fast paced. I also appreciated how she taught us about brands that could be relatable to Gen Z. It showed that as an advertiser, she knows her audience.

There was a true passion you could tell professor had for teaching this class, and this was felt through her meaningful presentations and rich understanding of the subject. the in-class activities were always fun and provided a nice experience to practice some of the theories ourselves. professor was also super helpful through her emails and always provided the necessary professional point of view for any questions we had.
